KUALA LUMPUR — Last April 24, 2024, Galansiyang proudly represented the Philippines at the One ASEAN Startup Awards in Kuala Lumpur pre-event, recognized by the esteemed ERIA: Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia.
The One ASEAN Startup Awards is a prestigious event that celebrates the brightest and most impactful startups across Southeast Asia. This year, Galansiyang stands out as the only Philippine startup to reach the finals, a testament to the company's dedication and innovative solutions for the conservation of our world's forests.

At the heart of their mission is the use of drone-assisted reforestation techniques, which have proven to be highly effective in restoring degraded lands, and by leveraging technology, humans can plant trees in hard-to-reach areas, ensuring a higher survival rate and promoting biodiversity. Their efforts have not only contributed to environmental restoration but have also empowered local communities. By sourcing seedball media from the by-products of local farmers, such as manure, rice hull, cocopeat, and corncobs, we provide them with an additional source of income and promote responsible consumption in a circular economy. These different activities are tantamount to what the Leave a Nest Forest Project wants to achieve.
Galansiyang extends its heartfelt gratitude to ERIA for this incredible opportunity, as this recognition has motivated them to continue their efforts and expand their reach, ensuring that more communities benefit from their reforestation initiatives. As the company looks to the future, Galansiyang remains committed to their mission of empowering communities and restoring our planet – as a crucial piece that pushes the Leave a Nest Forest Project forward to achieve the vision of “Realizing an autonomous social system between forests and people.”
